Cure for papillomas: means to eliminate them.

Papilloma on the neck of a woman.

Papillomas are benign neoplasms located on the surface of the skin and mucous membranes, which have the appearance of a papillary growth located on a thin "leg". This disease is associated with the human papillomavirus. The resulting papillomas can be injured, painful, and cause external defects. In this case, the question naturally arises about its removal. Below we will talk about medications to eliminate papillomas.

The human papillomavirus is far from a harmless representative of the viral flora. Not only does it cause the formation of papillomas and warts, but this pathogen sometimes leads to the appearance of malignant neoplasms, in particular cervical cancer. In 2019, scientists published a work in which it was found that the population has little knowledge about the human papillomavirus, its transmission routes, consequences and prevention measures.

Local medicines

Apply topical medication to eliminate the papilloma.

First, let's look at medications designed specifically to eliminate papillomas. We emphasize that before using them you should consult with a specialist.

The first medicine is a liquid for external use containing two components: metacresol and phenol. It should be applied punctually to the affected areas of the skin or mucous membranes using a special wand, avoiding contact with adjacent areas of the skin. For small papillomas, as a rule, a single application is sufficient; for larger ones, repeated applications (3-4 times) with an interval of several minutes may be necessary.

How does this remedy work? The components included in the solution cause coagulation of skin proteins, due to which papillomas disappear.

Another commonly used preparation is a liquid made from sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, and sodium hydroxide. It also has a cauterizing effect, which makes it possible to effectively remove not only papillomas, but also warts, genital warts, etc.

Additionally, a solution containing:

  • Nitric acid;
  • acetic acid;
  • lactic acid;
  • oxalic acid dihydrate;
  • copper nitrate trihydrate.

It belongs to local necrotizing drugs and promotes the destruction of pathologically modified tissues. This product is also applied punctually to the affected area. If necessary, the processing is repeated several times.

Systemic therapy

Local medications alone are not enough to effectively combat papillomas. To prevent relapse, systemic therapy should be carried out, that is, taking drugs that have an antiviral and immunomodulatory effect.

An example is inosine acedoben dimepranol. This drug is active against the human papillomavirus, helps to suppress it in the body and has an immunostimulating effect.

We emphasize once again that before using any medication it is advisable to consult a specialist.
